Dr. Jimenez Castro, a boarded parasitologist, is a member of several scientific organizations, such as the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology, the American Heartworm Society, the European Scientific Council for Companion Animal Parasites, and the Tropical Scientific Council for Companion Animal Parasites, among others. He has authored numerous, peer-reviewed scientific and clinical papers, and conducted research in canine and feline parasitic diseases.
Join Dr. Jimenez Castro as he explores heartworm disease including translocation in dogs, resistant isolates, and the role we play in delaying the spread of resistant heartworm strains and comparative studies between the different macrocyclic lactones. Dr. Jimenez Castro will also provide practical solutions to parasite control in small animal veterinary hospitals.
