Dr. Karen Pearson started her journey with CVP as the Lead Doctor for Paradise Animal Hospital (part of the CVP community) where she built relationships and coached team members to have tough conversations and deliver great care.
Making connections, teaching, and helping people be the best version of themselves drives her. This makes her the perfect fit to help aspiring veterinarians navigate their career paths as the current Director of University Relations.

Dr. Mitch Moses was most recently the Chief Operating Officer for the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) where he restructured the organization to improve alignment and accountability and led the AAHA Healthy Workplace Culture Initiative, and the Re-Imagining Accreditation projects.
Prior to joining AAHA, Mitch worked for Pfizer Animal Health/Zoetis. During his fourteen-year tenure, he held 5 roles from field veterinarians, managing a small group of field veterinarians, to Director of a team of 38 customer-focused veterinarians who supported the sales organization. Also, Mitch pioneered a role in Learning and Development focused on professional colleague development and his last role as an Organization Effectiveness specialist for Veterinary Professional Services.
Dr. Moses currently helps guide students in their career paths at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Rachel Pound grew up just outside of Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Animal Science and Agribusiness. She went on to attend the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her DVM. Her interests include neurology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine.
Dr. Pound is a former participant in the CVP Student Colleague Program and looks forward to sharing details about her experience.

Shelby is a third-year veterinary student at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine.
She is originally from Michigan and attended Northern Michigan University for her undergraduate education.
Shelby participated in the 2023 CVP Student Colleague Program and will work at one of the Coyne Veterinary Center locations, part of the CVP community, upon graduation. She joins the panel to share her first-hand experience and provide insight to her peers.
